Discount Computer Parts

If you have to get your computer fixed but you don’t have a lot of money, it is good to know that there are a lot of things you can easily do yourself, although there are also things you shouldn’t touch. When you need parts, but you can’t afford to get new ones, you can usually find discount computer parts that will meet your needs.

You won’t have to settle for less, and you won’t have to worry about the parts being substandard if you know where to look and where to buy.

When I need a power supply for my computer, I wasn’t in the mood to go out and buy one new. I have to have my computer to work each day, so it’s not like I could just turn it off and ignore it. I began to search for discount computer parts and came across a great site.

They sold me the part and it has worked great. I bought it over two years ago and I have no had any problems. Most discount computer parts will be great, but you do have to be careful where you buy.

If you buy discount computer parts, make sure you pay with Paypal or a credit card so you have recourse if the part is not working out. Discount computer parts are often refurbished, and you usually do not have anything to worry about. On occasion, something may not perform up to par, and you may need to get a replacement or to get your money back.

Most people will gladly assist you but it is always a good idea to protect yourself if you find that you run across someone who is less than accommodating.

You can also find discount computer parts on eBay. You may find new parts on there for a great price, and if you find an auction that no one else is bidding on, you may get a better deal than you ever imagined. Just remember when looking for discount computer parts on eBay that you have to read the fine print on the auction.

I have gone to bid on many items only to find that the small print tells me that there is something wrong with the item or that it is meant to be for parts only because it just doesn’t work. Protect yourself to ensure a happy shopping experience any time.

Notebook Computers – You Don’t Have To Sit At a Desk

Now that we live in the age of the Internet, and email has almost replaced the traditional hand written letter, computers are essential in our digital, high-speed lives.  Notebook computers have especially ruled the fingertips of many cyberspace junkies and workaholics, lately.  These compact, anything is possible, electronic masterpieces are the epitome of entertainment and work for the average American.

Remember back when everyone had a desktop computer with a mouse, keyboard, and 2-ton monitor that cluttered the office space?  Those days are pretty much obliterated.  The majority of us now have conformed to the much simpler world of notebook computers.  Whether your preferences lie with Dell, or Gateway, PC or Mac, it doesn’t really matter, you can probably do anything with the computer of your choice.

Of course with the universe of notebook computers, comes a number of features and styles.  Rest assured that there is certainly one to fit you.  A good way to make such an important 1-3000 dollar decision is to head to your local computer store, or Best Buy and talk to a specialist.  This is where you can really delve into the massive galaxy of super drives, screen sizes, and gigabytes.  Since we all have different goals and needs, it is a great idea to do your research on what’s available first.

When I decided to ditch my desktop and head to laptop land, I mostly investigated the difference between PC’s and Mac’s.  Especially since you are about to spend a chunk of cash, you want to make certain the notebook does what you need.  It is good to speak with a specialist from both sides who can give you valuable detail in order to make your final decision.  While I ended up choosing a MAC for its simplicity, my wife preferred a Dell for other reasons concerning her work.

After analyzing what’s out there, it’s always a good idea to surf the web.  You will find an abundance of notebook computers, software, and accessories for your convenience.  In addition, it is wise to pay attention to what comes with your notebook computer, since you may or may not need to purchase additional software.

Notebook computers have certainly come along way in the last few years.  Gigabytes are no longer in accordance to computer size.  You can find a compact, five-pound laptop with 80 gigs, easily.  That’s a ton of space, which allows most to do whatever desired with their notebook.  If you search for it, it’s probably available.  The choices are endless.

The Convenience Of The Laptop Notebook Computer

These days we simply can’t live without our computers.  I don’t care what your occupation may be, you probably have a computer of some sort sitting in your home or office, or both.  The more modern technology now being, the laptop notebook computer.

If you have not conformed to the laptop notebook computer, you will soon enough.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s all that is available soon.  How much handier can you get than carrying your computer system around with you.  Anywhere you choose to do some work is now available.

It wasn’t long ago that we all had the desktops.  Now, don’t get me wrong, the massive desktop computers were great.  They got the job done.  However, now it’s hard to praise the old dinosaurs when we have the option of laptop notebook computers.  These small wonders get all of the same tasks done, but without the hassle of being restricted to one specific area, or room in the house.  We have achieved Internet freedom.

I love the ability of being wireless and venturing to any part of my home with my laptop notebook computer in hand.  After all, what’s the point of having wireless access when your computer is stuck on a desktop.  It kind of defeats the purpose.

It’s funny that so many businesses are offering Internet access.  This is a great way to get more business.  Simply tell people that they don’t have to remain home to work online, or to research for that big term paper.  The convenience of the laptop notebook computer is incredible.  People tote them around now days in their school bags and brief cases.  Our work and fun are no longer connected to wires.

One of the many advantages is the DVD option.  I didn’t think about this much at first when I purchased my Mac Ibook, but the first time my family and I went on a road trip, the advantage became clear.  We could actually watch movies in the car.  It’s so easy with such a small computer.  That’s what makes these notebooks so great.

They are always getting smaller, but doing more.  The laptop notebook computer is a clear example of where our future is headed.  While we love having computer and Internet access, we crave more freedom.  This is why the laptop notebook computer is so prevalent in our current society.  If you haven’t conformed to a simpler way of life yet, then just hop online and you will see a number of possibilities in order to purchase your first laptop notebook computer.

You won’t be sorry!

Choosing The Right Computer Desk

Ever since we got our new computer, my wife has been nagging me to get a suitable computer desk for it. Right now, the computer lies precariously perched on the dining table that serves as a ad-hoc desk of sorts.

Frankly, it is not a very convenient arrangement. When it is just the two of us at home, we eat wherever we want to, most often in front of the television. But when guests arrive, it becomes a mammoth problem. The computer has to be moved from the ad hoc dining table cum computer desk to a less inconvenient location.

Similarly, the tangle of wires that lead from the socket to the computer, the computer to the keyboard and mouse and from the computer to the printer have to be moved as well. Finally, after one particularly painful weekend, when the computer moved not once or twice but a grand total of five times, I had had enough. I resolved then and there to go shopping for a suitable computer desk.

So with wife in tow, I made my way to one of the reputed furniture dealers in town to select a good, yet affordable computer desk. Believe me when I tell you, shopping for a home could be much easier!

The trouble with choosing a good computer desk is that there are so many varieties to pick from. There is the regular, plain Jane computer desk that comes with a table, a chair and nothing else; there is also the drawer variety of computer desk that comes with, you guessed it, a drawer!

Then of course there is the ergonomically designed computer desk that comes with an adjustable table height and optimal positioning of the computer for reading and working convenience. And finally there is the space age computer desk that makes you feel like Captain Kirk atop the control and command terminal on the spaceship Enterprise!

The wife and I looked at all these kinds of computer desks and more until we were totally flabbergasted. It was then that we spotted the do it yourself section which had a special offer on custom built computer desks. We were thrilled. Finally, here was an option that would allow us to create the computer desk of our dreams at a fraction of the price of a pre-built one! We happily entered the section and soon spotted a computer desk in the catalogue.

We selected an antique finish and happily carted our would-be computer desk home. There it lay for the rest of the week as I resolved to set it up over the weekend.

The weekend came and I happily set to work on the computer desk. With the self explanatory diagram laid out in front of me, I hammered away at the various pieces of wood that were supposed to come together as the computer desk of our dreams.

Fourteen hours later, I stood looking at what appeared to be a mangled, gnarled sample of modern art. I don’t know how or where, but the build it yourself project had gone horribly wrong.

Today, my computer stands perched proudly atop the dining table and ad-hoc computer desk. While the dream computer desk (or what remains of it) lies in the garage, never to see the light of day again!

Say Goodbye To The 17in Monitor

My computer only had a 17 monitor, but it was fine for my needs. It displayed text and simple graphics well, and let me serf the internet just fine. It also fit well on my desk, and didn’t take up too much room. I remember the days when computer monitors were twelve inches and resolution was only 400 by 600 lines. Forgive me for sounding like an old timer, but sometimes just enough is plenty.

At least that is what i thought until I saw the new computer monitor models. The 19 monitor may only be 2 inches bigger than the 17 monitor, but boy those two inches make a difference. If I have friends over to watch a movie or something like that, its so much nicer. I’ve been comparison shopping and looking for a while, but I’m not sure.

I think the flat screen models are the best. They don’t have the glare of the others, and they look good. Besides that, they have a low profile and fit slimly on the desk. The downside is that they are more expensive. And anyway, I’m sort of used to what I have.

My computer itself is pretty old, and I’ve been thinking of getting an upgrade. Beside the 17 monitor, I don’t have a graphics accelerator or a good sound card. The graphics card is so important for gaming. I know that games are a big time suck, but well, I can’t resits. But I haven’t been able to play doom 3 because my computer won’t support it. As for Warcraft 3 or diablo – forget it. Just not going to happen.

The sound card I need for music. Not to listen to it – any sound card will play music. But to record music its good to have an expensive external sound card. You can do multiple track recording straight into the card, balance tracks, apply a lot of nifty affects, and do it all much cleaner. Its just all around more convenient for sure.

But its not just a sound card I need. If I’m going to be making music on my computer, I’d like to be able to at least listen to it cleanly, but my little included dell computer speakers, while making clean sound, they’ve got no body. Completely flat. So, I guess you need everything you’d need for any home stereo. A reciever, a pre-amp, a tuner, and of course, great speakers.

But one at a time. For now, I’m going to focus on upgrading my 17 monitor

Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe

The Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe is an absolute miracle in scrapbooking software. This sought after program is the envy of many of the moms who frequent the scrapbook club I joined a few months ago. This package has everything any scrapbook making mom, dad or child could want. There are endless possibilities.

There are so many features available through the Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe that are not available in other programs. Premium photo editing is my personal favorite. I love the idea of editing my photos right in my scrapbooking software program. Before I had to visit Photoshop for a few hours then transfer the pictures to the other software program. Now I can do everything in one place.

There are tons of editing tools that can give the popular Photoshop program a run for its money. Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe offers cutting edge editing options for your pictures. You can accomplish a lot in relatively little time by using this outstanding program.

Once your pictures are edited, the Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe allows you to browse through a plethora of templates to embellish your photo masterpieces. The options are seemingly endless. The only complaint I have is that I spend way too much time trying to choose just one for each page. It can be very difficult.

In addition to the templates, there are images to use as well. This adds to the time consumption in the project as well. The images are of superior quality and there are so many that you can take hours and hours out of your day just sorting through the wonderful graphics that the Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe has to offer.

There is also a spell check feature that I appreciate beyond my ability to express. I can’t spell my way out of a wet paper bag so I rely heavily on this type of feature in my software programs. Many do not provide such a service which means that I have to enter my text into Microsoft Word to run a check for errors.

Normally, I would have to edit my photos in Photoshop, browse the Internet for good templates, continue to browse the Internet for images and check my text for spelling mishaps in Microsoft Word. The time that I save just by using Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe actually affords me an afternoon of browsing its lovely images and excellent templates.
